Saga-teaterbiografen har spelat en viktig roll för kulturlivet i Skaraborgsområdet, särskilt under 1900-talets första hälft och mitt då varken Skövde, Hjo eller Falköping hade egna teaterscener. &#13;

                <text>Den världsunika klaffbron i Vänersborg togs i bruk 1916 och är nu den äldsta av broarna i Vänersborg. Sommaren 1910 började man muddra för en ny farled för båttrafiken. Den nya sträckningen gjorde det nödvändigt att bryta igenom banvallen vid Kasen och anlägga en öppningsbar bro där. Fyra svenska och fem tyska firmor kom in med anbud och det blev den tyska J. Gollnow och son i Stettin som antogs som entreprenör. Bron har inte undergått några nämnvärda förändringar under den tid den varit i bruk, utom att elledningar monterats över spåret i samband med elektrifieringen år 1949.&#13;
&#13;
Paris har sitt Eiffeltorn och Vänersborg (Lilla Paris) har denna teknikhistoriskt unika och värdefulla klaffbro, ett gott exempel på det tidiga 1900-talets ingenjörskonst. En modell av bron, tillverkad av ett amerikanskt leksaksföretag, med transformator finns att bese på Kanalmuseet i Trollhättan.</text>
